Matthew is a licensed architect and educator with nearly 30 years of experience working on a broad range of project types from residential to interiors to commercial base building. He co-founded reform with Luis Boza in 2006 and is engaged in all aspects of current projects and firm operations. In addition to practice, Matthew has taught architecture at the University of Maryland, Virginia Tech and Catholic University.

Prior to establishing reform he worked as a project designer at Grater Architects in Clayton, NY and at STUDIOS Architecture in Washington, DC. While at Grater Architects, he worked primarily on high-end residential projects along the St. Lawrence River in Upstate New York. At STUDIOS, he worked on high profile projects such as XM Satellite Radio Headquarters, Bloomberg’s New York Headquarters and the Pentagon Renovation Project.

Matthew received his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University’s School of Architecture and his Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation. Matthew’s expertise lies in the areas of materials research, digital design and digital fabrication. He is constantly searching for ways to expand his knowledge of technological advances in design softwares and fabrication techniques which continue to evolve at ever faster rates.
